We have been working with Pilgrimage People for a number of years. Pilgrimage People are UK based charity that organises trips to various destinations in the Holy Land and across Europe.
Throughout the year we provide Pilgrimage People with various printed items, including booking forms, travel brochures, individual destination leaflets, through to lanyards, luggage tags, stationery and signage. As the years go on we continue to work with Pilgrimage People to keep their brand moving forward with clean fresh design whilst retaining a cohesive synergy with their existing logo.
Father Paul Madison (the founder), has an enviable passion for the work he does along with the other members of the Pilgrimage People team. They have funded and supported (and continue to) many projects throughout the Holy Land from Scholarships to students studying at Bethlehem University to providing funding for creating a safe area and providing play equipment in community areas.
Whilst our relationship is mostly a remote one, we occasionally meet with Father Paul to work through any new graphic or web design project requirements, and one of the trustees Graham Snudden. These face-to-face opportunities prove invaluable and it is a pleasure to witness their attention to details and care for their organisation.
We were recently asked to create a travel brochure that covers the full range of Pilgrimages they currently operate. And with their recent approval as a fully accredited ATOL members, some refreshes were required to update the various printed material they use to ensure, all references online and offline were correct.
We approached the brochure in a slightly different manner to normal. Whilst the regular leaflets cover a 50/50 mix of itinerary and history of the destination, the new travel brochure would provide the opportunity to provide great detail on the itineraries whilst accompanying with large colourful imagery most common to travel brochures.
Wehn choosing a print finish for the brochure, we decided upon a soft touch lamination to give an extra the brochure a feel of quality. Matt lamination is often the popular choice, but soft touch, enhanced this appear with a slightly thicker lamination than normal. The cost implications are always carefully considered when providing work for charities and trusts, as ultimately they are there to do good and we a conscious not to encourage overspending on lavish finishing when they could be better spent elsewhere. The soft touch option on this brochure, however, was of minimal cost different to the regular Matt, and in addition to the landscape orientation has helped create a stand out brochure. Ultimately the key is for more people to book pilgrimages, so it is important to continue the professionalism of the charity right through to its printed matter.
You will see further below some more example of printed items we have provided to Pilgrimage People.
